How to Handle a Bomb Threat
Be courteous, listen and do not interrupt the caller’s message. Try to keep the caller talking and obtain information on the following:
- When is the bomb going to explode?
- Where is the bomb?
- What does the bomb look like?
- What kind of bomb is it?
- What will cause the bomb to explode?
- Did you place the bomb?
- What is your address?
- What is your name?
When the call is complete, call 911, the Campus Emergency Line and your supervisor, and await direction from law enforcement.
