The mission of the Department of College Safety and Security is to provide a safe and secure environment to the Pasco-Hernando State College community in order to preserve the well-being of students, faculty, staff and visitors in a secure open atmosphere conducive to learning and development.

Security Officers on all campuses provide patrols and answer calls for assistance on a 24 hour a day, seven day a week basis.  All Officers are trained in basic first aid and CPR and receive routine professional training throughout the year to enhance service to the community.

In addition, College Safety and Security works closely with the Pasco Sheriff’s Office, Hernando County Sheriff’s Office and the Dade City Police Department in order to safeguard all campuses, as well as create crime prevention strategies, to share important information, and for the investigation of criminal offenses.
